Georgia Trend magazine has named Georgia Transmission Corporation (GTC) as one of 10 best places to work in Georgia for 2015. This is the second time in three years that GTC has made the list.

Georgia Trend’s selection process involves individual employees submitting nominations on the magazine’s website. In addition to being named to the list in 2010, GTC also made a best place to work list compiled by the Atlanta Business Chronicle in 2013.

“I’d like to thank the employees who nominated GTC for this honor,” said GTC President and CEO Jerry Donovan. “It speaks volumes about the work we do, who we do it for and how we get it done. This accomplishment is a big indication that our employees feel valued and know they are doing important work.”

Commitment to cultivating employees and protecting the interests of its member systems were among the reasons cited. In addition, nominators mentioned programs and initiatives, medical and retirement benefits, an on-site gym, flexible work hours, cross-training and an executive open-door policy.
